Dec 29, I feel like the show thus far had given us every reason to have high hopes and yet somehow season 4 just didn't deliver. It wasn't bad, just not as interesting and engaging as previous runs. Personally while I enjoyed the first episode, the other 7 in the 'Kirk arc' felt like an effort to fill blanks due to shortage in quality storytelling material.
I couldn't care less about the blacklisters they fought during those episodes, not was I thrilled to see the two-parter in episodes 7 and 8. Furthermore, the lack of profound dialogue between Liz and Red in the wake of the drastic means she turned to just to get away from him felt dishonest to both the nature of a human being and the intelligent characters these two are.
Also, it seems that in an effort to give Red enough time to shine, supporting character's screen time was reduced to bare minimum, leaving no place for any serious personal development.
That being said, Aram and Samar did have more alone time this season and yet still they chose to turn it into a big patience test instead of taking it to the next level so much so that if they hadn't kissed before the series ended I might have just burst. I have to note the dynamic between Harry Lennix and James Spader in the show, just love it. No one matches Harold's ability to preach when Red goes too far. Maya G. Jun 06, Inta K. Tylyndah h. Apr 15, Season 4 of this Thriller series was very personal for Mr. The main plot of Mr. Kaplan going after Raymond was consistent which enabled engagement throughout the second half of the season. The Entertaining first 8 episodes was a drag to conclude kirk story.
The storyline for other main leads especially Aram had an scope to go on with. Overall This season was engaging as the first three. Feb 18, I had high hopes for S4, but it disappointed me again and again and an ill advised, unnecessary and ultimately dishonest double twist in the season finale confused the audience about Red's relationship to Liz that continues to this day. This season was written and put together no better than normal hum drum "mass man" TV and not the smartly written The Blacklist I had come to expect. Only James Spader as Red Reddington saved it. Red delivers a final ultimatum. With her name finally cleared, Liz attempts to reclaim her former life. Red works with the task force to infiltrate an assembly of high-level criminals at large in a rare, risky opportunity to capture the heads of the world's most lethal organized crime syndicates. A rare medieval device is used in a murder, prompting Red to warn the task force that a lethal vigilante group from the Middle Ages is now in operation.
