This was a large number of DLL registrations I assume had to occur upon reboot. I ran that manually as Administrator , and after that QB started fine. However, I still had a problem accessing mapped drives when running as Admin. I had to add a registry entry to enable QB to see mapped drives:.

I was able to install all of the software on my Windows 10 platform but when it comes to restoring the file, I am unable in ANY version. It allows me to open the file but then I have to update it to the latest version so I hit YES and it runs for a long time and finally stops and I get the message that my file was NOT restored.
I have also tried File Doctor but it tells me the password is incorrect. There is only 1 password for the file and of course I tried a few times to be sure I was entering it correctly. Microsoft 10 does not allow me to download the QB program so there is no file for that. I downloaded QuickBooksToolHub. That option did not work for the fix. I am stumped. QuickBooks is not compatible with Microsoft That is why it keeps cutting off during your installation.
